Overview
The CMS Database is a sybase database that runs with a Transaction log. This log is used by the database for a varity of reasons, but as a result can get rather large.
To help ablivate this problem you can enable a feature called "Truncate the log" This will slim down the log as it will only contain the last days worth of transactions, and as a result ensure that your log does not take up more space then needed.
To enable this feature please follow the instructions below.
Enabling Log Truncation
- Step 1: Log into your PCI Administrator account.
- Step 2: Select PCI Administration at the top
- Step 3: Select Administration
- Step 4: Select Daily Backup
- Step 5: Check mark the Truncate the Log box
- Step 6: Select Save These Settings Now
