Overview

The CMS Database is a sybase database that runs with a Transaction log. This log is used by the database for a varity of reasons, but as a result can get rather large.

To help ablivate this problem you can enable a feature called "Truncate the log" This will slim down the log as it will only contain the last days worth of transactions, and as a result ensure that your log does not take up more space then needed.

To enable this feature please follow the instructions below.

Enabling Log Truncation

• Step 1: Log into your PCI Administrator account.

• Step 2: Select PCI Administration at the top

• Step 3: Select Administration

• Step 4: Select Daily Backup

• Step 5: Check mark the Truncate the Log box

• Step 6: Select Save These Settings Now
