Setting up CMS email through Exchange

To setup CMS email to work through Exchange follow the instructions below.

  1. Bring up the Exchange server manager
  2. Open Administrative groups
  3. Open First administrative group
  4. Open Servers
  5. Open “your server name”
  6. Open Protocols
  7. Open SMTP
  8. Right click on Default SMTP Virtual Server
  9. Select Properties
  10. Select the Access tab
  11. Select Relay
  12. Select Add
  13. Add in the IP address of the CMS server

CMS Emails from the workstations

With this in mind all workstations that need to relay through exchange will have to have their IPs added. In addition check for virus protection on the workstations, that may block port 25.
